In this difficult historical moment worldwide,  a positive note comes from tourism. The country has always been a popular destination, but in recent years there has been a boom in tourists wanting to visit Tunisia. Suffice it to say that in 2023 there was a growth of over 50% in tourists. over 8.8 million people have visited the North African country, bringing over 2.2 billion euros into the coffers. The increase in the tourism sector has increased the demand for staff in accommodation facilities (over 400 thousand), bringing income to many families in difficulty. tourism represents approximately 10% of the national GDP.

What to see in Tunisia

Tunisia is a truly interesting country from a tourist point of view, not only for the beauty of its capital Tunis, but above all for the beautiful and fascinating beaches with crystal clear waters,

for the majesty of the deserts.

Furthermore, not to be underestimated are the age-old traditions, culture and food, all of which make this North African country a jewel waiting to be discovered.

The North African country is going through a moment of very serious economic crisis, at the basis of this crisis is the notable increase in the prices of oil and food products, which in turn has caused the depletion of foreign exchange reserves, making it difficult to pay the imported goods. In the country the crisis has hit the weakest and most disadvantaged groups the most, but recently the European Union has allocated aid and the Italian government is acting as an intermediary with the Monetary Fund for a loan.
